    How your Human Design profile is calculated

    Human Design uses your birth date, time and location to formulate your ‘Body Graph Chart’, which you can obtain for free via the link in the Resources section at the end of this article.

    The first thing you’ll want to know once you have your chart, is which of the 5 Human Design ‘Types’ you are; 

    1. Generator

    2. Manifesting Generator

    3. Projector

    4. Manifestor 

    5. Reflector

    Beyond knowing your type, your Body Graph Chart contains a lot of information. And this can be overwhelming … and not necessarily useful straight away.

    There are however 3 data points that I pay attention to because they have made the biggest difference to the way I do business and marketing.

    Your Body Graph Chart and what to focus on

    You don’t need to understand everything on your Body Graph Chart to start seeing the benefits of Human Design in your business. 

    In fact, you can have game changing results from understanding and embodying these 3 areas of your Chart;

    1. Strategy

    2. Authority

    3. Profile Numbers

    These areas have helped me to realign my business model, creating successful offerings, marketing, sales and effortless service delivery.

    1. Strategy - our key to effortless success in business

    The first thing I understood and took to heart about Human Design is that I needed to understand and deeply embody my ‘Strategy’. 

    As a Generator, my strategy is to ‘wait to respond’, a concept that I could not quite grasp in the beginning. But once the penny dropped and I realised what that truly meant in a practical business sense, everything changed.

    I had been working contrary to my strategy since I started my business and that’s why I was so burnt out and disillusioned. 

    To turn this around I had to unlearn most of what I’d been taught about success in online business, which you can read about in my book Quiet Marketing.

    You may find you have been operating opposite to your Strategy as well. If so, invest time in studying and contemplating your strategy.

    2. Authority - our inbuilt technology for decision making

    Your Authority (aka Inner Authority) is your inbuilt technology for making your best business decisions. Often these decisions won’t make ‘logical’ sense, so trust is required here. I have found trust in my Authority has been built little by little, with each decision I have made.

    3. Profile Numbers - for service delivery and marketing alignment

    Profile Numbers in Human Design refer to a person's personal style, behaviour, and way of interacting with others. 

    The Profile Number is made up of two numbers, such as 2/4, 4/1, or 6/2. The first number represents the person's conscious personality trait, while the second number represents their unconscious personality trait.

    The conscious personality trait is something that a person is aware of and can express more easily, while the unconscious personality trait is something that they are less aware of and may struggle to express.

    For example, someone with a 2/4 Profile is referred to as a Hermit/Opportunist. Their conscious personality trait is the Hermit, which means that they need alone time to recharge and often prefer to work independently. 

    Their unconscious personality trait is the Opportunist (socialite), which means that they enjoy social interactions, new opportunities and experiences, but may struggle to follow through on them.

    Understanding my own Profile Numbers has really helped me see myself more clearly in business. For example, it's helped me realise why the membership model is not a good fit for me, and why having bookend-ed offerings like my mastermind program work so well.

    Investing time in learning about your Profile Numbers will help you shape your business in a way that is correct for you.
